According to Lusakatimes, Jonathan Kampata, general manager of the Lusaka Water Company, said in an interview with the media that the company is determined to work with ZNBC and other local media companies to emphasize climate change. The impact of people has made people understand that climate change is closely related to people's lives.
When he visited ZNBC general manager Richard Mwanza, he said that due to the impact of climate change, Zambia's abundant fresh water supply continued to be threatened.
He also said that since 2011, the company has managed to raise nearly $780 million in funding for Lusaka's water supply and health care projects from the government and partners.
Mr. Mwanza urged the Lusaka Water Company to work with ZNBC by signing a memorandum of understanding to ensure that it achieved tangible results in improving water utility services.
According to Richard Mwanza, ZNBC's coverage in Zambia's radio and television sector is a promotional advantage that tap water companies can take advantage of.
