Beginning in September, Angola will implement a new personal income tax (IRT) tax rate.
According to the news published in the "Angola Daily", the new personal tax threshold will be adjusted by 10% to 25% for personal income exceeding 200,000 kwanzas. Salary income of 70,000 kwanzas and below is tax-exempt.
For those between 70,01 and 100,000 kwanzas, the fixed amount is 3,000 kwanzas and the tax rate is 10%.
100001 to 150001, 150001 to 200,000, the difference in the collection rate is 3.0%.
For incomes between 200,001 and 300,000 kwanzas, the fixed collection amount is 31,250, which is a collection rate of 18%.
For incomes between 300,001 and 500,000 kwanzas, the collection rate is 19%, which is equivalent to 49,250 kwanzas.
For income of 50001 to 1000 000 kwanzas, the fixed deduction is 87250 kwanzas and the tax rate is 20%.
For income of 1000001 to 10 million kwanzas, the collection rate is between 21%-25%.
