According to Angola’s report on the 22nd, the European Union has drawn up a financial assistance plan that will provide Angola with approximately 1.8 million euros to strengthen Angola’s public financial management and ensure that the social security system is perfected by December 2022.
According to a joint statement issued by the International Labor Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund, the financial assistance program will be announced this Friday (23rd) by Carolina Cerqueira, Secretary of State for the Social Fields (Carolina Cerqueira).
It is understood that the purpose of the EU's financial assistance plan is to enable Angola to help Angola strengthen its social security system through the implementation of the National Social Action Policy, coordinate training of workers, strengthen public financial management, and continue to invest in Angola.It is reported that the total amount of the EU funding program is 22.9 million euros, which is mainly used to assist 8 countries in Africa, Asia and the Americas.
The Angolan Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Family and Women's Promotion, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Ministry of Public Administration will jointly assist the implementation of the financial assistance plan.Since 2014, the European Union and UNICEF have passed a social security pilot project to assist the Angolan government in implementing the Child Security Plan.
