Recently, Guangjin Angola Construction Company achieved a significant milestone in Angola’s power infrastructure sector by successfully winning the bid for a cluster project involving the construction and upgrading of substations in five cities across Uíge Province. This contract win not only represents another major breakthrough for the company in the field of overseas engineering contracting but also signifies that its comprehensive capabilities in this sector have once again earned high recognition from the client and the local market.

The project, for which the bid was awarded, is located in the province of Huí, Angola, and encompasses the construction and upgrading of substations in five cities. Upon completion, the project will effectively improve the power supply network in the five core cities of Huí Province, significantly enhance the stability and coverage of the local power grid, and provide a reliable power supply to support the daily lives of local residents as well as industrial and commercial development.
As a key province in northern Angola, Huí Province faces an increasingly urgent need for a stable and efficient power supply amid local economic recovery and improvements in people’s livelihoods. The project faces multiple challenges, including a large number of sites, a vast geographical scope, and complex construction environments. The Angola Construction Company team thoroughly considered local climatic conditions, supply chain management, and cross-regional coordination. Leveraging years of experience in the African market, they developed a scientific and rigorous construction organization plan, optimizing resource allocation and scheduling while ensuring engineering quality and construction safety.
The head of Guangjin Angola stated: “Winning this bid is a significant achievement resulting from our sustained commitment and steady expansion in Angola’s electricity market, and it represents a responsibility and a commitment. “The substation project in the five cities of Huíre Province is not merely an electrical engineering project; it is a project that directly benefits the people. We will fully leverage the company’s core strengths in large-scale infrastructure construction and power project management, strictly fulfill our contractual obligations, and strive for excellence to make this project a model of quality and a benchmark for the northern region of Angola. At the same time, we will actively fulfill the social responsibilities of a Chinese enterprise, contribute to the modernization of Angola’s power grid, and demonstrate the wisdom and strength of Chinese enterprises through concrete actions.”
Currently, Guangjin Angola has swiftly assembled a lean and efficient project management team and construction crew, and has fully launched preliminary preparatory work. The company consistently adheres to the principles of “quality first, safety paramount, and integrity in contract fulfillment.” We are advancing the project’s implementation with high standards and strict requirements, making every effort to ensure the project is completed on time, with high quality, and efficiently. This will help Vire Province achieve a stable and reliable power supply at the earliest opportunity, injecting strong momentum into the local economic and social development.
