As one of the four major products of chemical building materials, plastic pipes have developed rapidly since they were widely applied in the housing and urban construction industry in 1993,has been widely used in building water supply, building drainage, building heating, urban water supply, urban drainage, town gas and other fields.The cumulative use of housing and urban construction industry has exceeded 50 million tons, laying an important role in plastic pipes.
During the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” period, the housing and urban-rural construction industry will focus on the development of urban security housing projects, sponge city construction, black and odor water remediation, underground integrated pipe corridors, and assembly buildings.
It is predicted that during the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” period, the annual pipeline for urban new housing will be about 1.5-200 million meters, the pipeline required for the renovation of shanty towns will be about 500 million meters, and the pipeline for house decoration and decoration will be about 1 billion meters. About 1 billion meters, the pipeline required for other construction projects is about 500 million meters, and the total will reach 4-5 billion meters. According to the 60% market share of plastic pipes, the annual demand for plastic pipes in construction projects during the 13th Five-Year Plan period is about 2 to 3 billion meters (about 1 million tons).
During the “13th Five-Year Plan” period, the total number of municipal pipelines in cities (including county towns) was 722,200 kilometers, with an average of about 140,000-150,000 kilometers per year. The urban municipal pipelines increased by an average of 180,000-200,000 kilometers per year. If the market share of plastic pipes is estimated to be around 50%, the average annual demand for plastic pipes in municipal engineering is about 90,000-100,000 kilometers (about 4 million tons).
According to comprehensive analysis, the demand for plastic pipes in the urban and rural construction industry during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period is about 5 million tons per year, of which about 4 million tons for municipal projects and 1 million tons for construction projects.
