On September 16, 2016, Henan Guangjin (Zambia) Investment Co., Ltd. successfully signed a contract with China Hydropower Zambia Lower Kafuxia Hydropower Project Department to officially contract the housing construction of the Zhabexia Xiafuxia Hydropower Project.
The Xiafufuxia Hydropower Project is a cooperation project between China Hydropower International Co., Ltd. and Zambia Power Company, with a contractual value of US$1.566 billion, or about 9.866 billion yuan.The project is the first large-scale hydropower station invested and developed by Zambia in 40 years and is the largest single infrastructure project in Zambia.The Raffinate Gravity Dam project with an installed capacity of 750,000 kilowatts is located on the Kafue River in Zambia. The construction of the project will help to provide jobs. After power generation, it will increase 38% of Zambia's existing electricity and meet Zambia for the next 5 to 10 years. Domestic electricity demand provides stable power security for Zambia's mining and agricultural development, and helps its social and economic development to a new level.
The projects contracted by our company in the project include the overall housing project of about 50,000 square meters in the dream town of Kaifuxia Hydropower Station, the roads of hydropower stations and the construction of nearly 45,000 square meters of schools and houses, with a total output value of about 50 million Dollar.The start-up time is September 2016 and is expected to be completed in 2019.
